NEW
The most common words during the first few weeks of the New Year are: Happy, New, and Year, of these three, one quickly fades as the year goes by, and that word is, NEW.
The word new, has variety of meanings when looked up in a dictionary, but one which best describes this concern is, recently arrived. The recently arrived year will soon become old, but before it does we must take advantage of the privilege of freshness the New Year affords us. If the old ways are not working we should try, restarting, rewriting, rerouting, refocusing, and re-strategizing to re-fire for better results. But, if we refuse to take advantage of this newness, we will get that which we have always gotten.
Therefore, before the New Year begins to grow old, and we lose the enthusiasm that comes with newness, we need to set the balls rolling, by putting plans into action and digging up from within, that which is required, for us to keep running. Nothing new comes out of old ways and actions.
Carl Bard, once said, “although no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from today and make a brand-new ending”. So, optimize fully, the newness of the year and make a difference for a brand-new ending.
May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.
Happy New Year.
