366 days of wisdom (February 1, 2020)

Day 32 of 366

"Nobody but you have to believe in your dreams to make them a reality."

Germany Kent.

The road to success is a lonely journey, your dreams are yours to actualize, and when nobody believe in you you must believe in yourself.

Self trust, and self confidence are very important on your journey to success, you must believe in your dreams and your ability to achieve them, you must believe it is a valid dream, and that achieving it will bring you great joy and happiness.

In pursuing your dreams, you may not get the support you expect from friends, and family, you may even be regarded as being foolish by your most trusted comrades, who should motivate and inspire you to pursue your dreams. Your dreams may be seen as unachievable, unrealistic, useless, and good for nothing, but you must believe in yourself, the importance, and the validity of your dreams, you must strive to make it a reality, you must prove your doubters wrong, not for the sake of pride, but for the purpose that dream is to achieve.

There will be times you will feel like quitting, friends may even suggest lesser alternatives to your dreams, your world might be against you, but if you can only believe in yourself, motivate yourself, draw strength from within, and vigorously pursue that which your heart craves, you will become unstoppable, and achieving that dream will only be a matter of time.

Believe in yourself, believe in your dreams, and you will make it a reality.

Happy new month.

366 days of wisdom (January 31, 2020)

Day 31 of 366

"You can't work smart, if you haven't learnt how to do the work by working hard."

George Emetuche.

Success is the reward of hard work, but sustained and progressive success is the reward of smart work. No one can ever succeed in any endeavour in life, without first working hard, learn the tricks, acquire relevant skills, and get knowledge on the working of things in his chosen endeavour before he can know how to work smart. A success that hasn't gone through this process would either have been gotten through magic, or some other dubious means, and can not be sustained.

The distance between two floors in a storey building is being bridged by a staircase, which contains steps (stairs), to get to the upper floor, you must climb the steps one at a time, and if you will skip a step, you must put in more work (exert more pressure, and strength). Such is the journey to success, you must pass through the process to achieve success, and then employ the experience of the process to create sustainable, and progressive success.

When travelling on a road you haven't journeyed through before, you will be careful how you move on that road, because, it is a strange road to you, you would not care how long it takes you to get to your destination, all you are focused on, is getting to your destination safely. After passing through that road several times over, you become more confident travelling through it, you know where to avoid potholes, you would also have discovered ways to manoeuvre easily. At this time you will arrive at your destination in shorter time, not necessarily because you are moving at a high speed, but because you are now familiar with the road. This is similar to the journey of success, you become wiser, and smarter after series of long hard work.

There are no shortcuts, and fast lane on the journey to success, you must go through the long hard route, or else your success will be short lived and unsustainable.

The only way to work smart, is to have worked hard.

366 days of wisdom (January 30, 2020)

Day 30 of 366

"Being defeated is often a temporary condition. Giving up is what makes it permanent."

Marilyn vos Savant.

Winning does not always come without a price. Sometimes, series of defeats might have been encountered before an eventual breakthrough, but breakthrough cannot be achieved if there isn't persistence.

Every success story, is a story of failures who never gave up. Success is a guarantee for those who do not give up on their pursuit, and dreams in life. Giving up is like aborting a pregnancy, it is the extermination of a work in progress, it is the destruction of an unseen, but bright, and glorious future.

Failure is temporary if one continues to work on his dreams for the future, but, becomes permanent the moment one stop moving. You must move beyond the failures, and focus on the success of the future.

Failures are bus stops on the path to success, if you do not alight, you will get to success bus stop.

366 days of wisdom (January 29, 2020)

Day 29 of 366

"The question is not what you look at, but what you see."

Henry David Thoreau.

When looking at an object, what you see is not the object, but the part of the object on your side. When you turn sides, you will see another part of that object, so, your location in relation to an object, determines what you see about the object. When you look at yourself, what do you see? When you look at the challenges you are going through, what do you see?

Our perspectives about life is determined by so many factors, which may include upbringing, environment, make up, and exposure. We see things the way our world have conditioned us to do, but we can always restructure our minds to see things the way it should actually, and realistically be seen, we can reposition ourselves to see various angles, and perspectives to different issues in life, this will help us make better judgements of these situations.

In life, what you see, and the reactions to what you see, will determine what you will do, and where you will get to. If you have been looking at life from a negative angle you will always get negativity, but to see positivity, you have to switch to being positive, and have a positive mindset.

When you look, what do you see?

366 days of wisdom (January 28, 2020)

Day 28 of 366

"I don't want to be the next Michael Jordan, I only want to be Kobe Bryant."

Kobe Bryant.

No two human on earth have the same fingerprints, every human have unique strengths, attributes, characters, and make up. Our differences and diversity have made the world a better, and more beautiful place.

As our make up are unique, so are our dreams, visions, aspirations and purpose in life. Even when we share same vision with someone else, we can not be replicates of any other person. No two humans can be the same, so we should not want to become someone else, because we can't be, but we can achieve what they have achieved and even more. We have all it takes to becomes whatever we want to be, all in ourselves. No great man ever became great by wanting to become another person,

Our dreams should be, being better versions of ourselves rather than becoming someone else, there is a saying that, "the sky is spacious enough for multiple birds to fly without disrupting each  other's flight", you can't become another great man, but you can become a great you. Great men can be our role models, mentors, and teachers, but not to be replicated or copied.

Strive to be you, for only you can be you, and if you don't become you, no other person will be you, then, you have wasted you.

366 days of wisdom (January 27, 2020)

Day 27 of 366

"You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it."

Ain Eineziz.

Life is difficult and unfair, it is a battlefield, a war zone, and a terrible place where survival is only  for the fittest.

We got the gift of life, we won the battle to be here, because we are fit for it, qualified for it, strong enough to live it, and win the battle with it. We sometimes, do not realize how strong we are, and why we are here, but the truth is we are here because we can win it.

Everyone here does not have the same battles to fight, we are not in the same war zone, someone else's battle may be easier than yours, it doesn't mean they are weaker than you, nor the one whose battle is more difficult than yours, stronger than you. We all do not fight same battles, but what you must realize, is that, you were made for yours, and you have what it takes to handle it, you have got the potentials.

We do not come into the world with all it takes to be what we should be, but on our journey through life, we develop all the necessary skills, and qualities required for our success, we learn the tricks of how to fight the battles, and become armed for the battle. We should therefore, not look down on ourselves, but believe in our ability to handle everything thrown at us by life.

You were born to win, so, WIN.

366 days of wisdom (January 26, 2020)

Day 26 of 366

"Stars can't shine without darkness."

D.H. Sidebottom.

Darkness is the medium through which stars shine. Stars are ever present in the skies, but only shine at night, and shines even brighter when the darkness is very thick. As humans, problems are meant to reveal our strengths, and not to destroy us, they are meant to make us shine our lights brightly, better than at other times.

Some men have discovered their God given talents during the hardest periods of their lives. Hunger, troubles, joblessness, poverty, have led some to uncover hidden potentials that have always been resident in them, but not used, discovered, or utilized. It is naturally instinctive for human to always find their way out of difficult moments. Men have the ability to think themselves out of troubles, but sometimes this abilities are left dormant until we are faced with difficult challenges.

Just like stars, we are meant to shine, and even more brightly when things get tougher, we should not let darkness dim our light, but shine through it. We have what it takes to shine, we only need to look deep inside of us, and ignite that thing, click the switch button, and we will be amazed at what we can do.

Lives and destinies are expecting our light to shine, so, they can see clearly and be guided on their path to breakthrough, refusing to shine is disappointing their expectations, and ultimately denying them of their chance to succeed. Quitting is not an option, for if we quit, we cannot win.

You are a star, let your light shine.

366 days of wisdom (January 25, 2020)

Day 25 of 366

"The path to happiness is forgiveness of everyone and gratitude for everything."

Jonathan Lockwood Huie.

The pursuit of happiness, as stated in the United States of America's, declaration of independence, is one of the unalienable rights of every human, but some men have chosen to willingly deprive themselves of the right to be happy. As recognized by the founding father of the US A, happiness can only be pursued and gotten by the person who wants it, no one can give another man happiness, it is a personal duty and responsibility.

Happiness is a choice. Nobody on earth hold the key to another man's happiness, except it is been handed over to them by the owner.

People may offend you, betray you, or even anger you, and make you sad and disappointed, but these should not put you in a perpetually sad mood, if it does, it means you have made yourself a victim of that situation. Instead, you should forgive your offender, and forget what they have caused you, look past the offenses and for your own sake, choose to have a clear mind, for only a clear mind can be happy.

Happiness, also comes from gratitude. Being grateful for the things you have, the family and friends around you, the joy you share, the love you receive, the possessions, and the ultimate gift of life.

Sow forgiveness, sow gratitude, reap happiness.

366 days of wisdom ( January 24, 2020)

Day 24 of 366

"The tragedy of life doesn't lie in not reaching your goal. The tragedy lies in having no goal to reach."

Benjamin Mays.

Life is not just about existence, but living, and living entails having a goal, a vision and a purpose to achieve. It is in living for a purpose that we find fulfillment as human beings.

The hallmark of a purposeful life is in having a goal to reach, having a purpose to live for. Not reaching ones goal is not a tragedy, or failure. Merely having a goal will help one live an organized, and patterned lifestyle, but the greatest tragedy that can happen to a man, is not to have a goal, or a target for which he aims at, it is an utter waste of oxygen, water, space, food, and the gift of life.

Life is God's gift to us, what we do with our lives, is our gift to God. If we live our lives without a purpose or goal to reach, we would have wasted the gift of God. The world has become a better place, because some people lived purposeful lives, they lived to make the world better than they met it, they set those goals and achieved it, and today we have a better world.

If you must be said to have lived, you must live for a reason, or else you have just existed. Don't live a life of tragedy, live a life of purpose.

366 days of wisdom (January 23, 2020)

 Day 23 of 366

"Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or lose"

Lyndon B. Johnson.

We are the architects of our own lives. The past is a course that cannot be altered, only the future offers us the opportunity to chart a new course for our lives. As humans, we are not perfect, we are bound to make mistakes in different areas of our lives, but when these mistakes happen, we should not over flog ourselves for those errors, we should learn to move on, and forget about the mistakes, but learn from them.

The future is a clean slate, we choose whatever we desire to write on it, on it we design our lives the way we want it to be. We are the creator of our future, our past has nothing more to do with us. We may not forget the past, but we must not judge ourselves by it, we must forgive ourselves of the mistakes made, and forget the effects of those mistakes, so, we can design a better and brighter tomorrow. A tomorrow we will be proud of, that which will give us the comfort, and sense of fulfillment that we so crave.

Tomorrow is the best opportunity we have, to live a new life, to conquer new territories, to achieve more, to grow, and to become better versions of ourselves, but these will happen only when we look forward into the future, forgetting the past, and working towards a better tomorrow.

Yesterday is gone, but tomorrow we can soar, if we choose to.

366 days of wisdom (January 22, 2020)

Day 22 of 366

"Problems are not stop signs, they are guidelines."

Robert H. Schuller.

Life is a journey, as well as a battlefield. The journey does not always go smooth, so, is the battle not always easy. Problems come and they give us tough times, but these problems are not meant to stop or derail us, but to caution us, and redirect us  unto the right path.

Just as road bumps aren't meant to stop your journey, but to help you readjust and refocus so, you can refire, such are the purpose of problems on our journeys to the promised land.

In a battlefield, when an army encounters a problem, they don't leave their weapons and run, lest they be totally destroyed, and completely battered by the enemy, but they regroup, re - strategize, and critically examine the situation, so, they can device better means of winning the battle. We are not meant to run in the face of challenges but to reexamine our tactics and find better ways to tackle those problems.

Problems are not dream busters, they are catalysts for growth.

Day 21 of 366

"When life knocks you down, try to land on your back. Because if you can look up, you can get up."

Les Brown.

Sometimes, life give us shockers, things happen that really get to us which become too heavy for us to bear, when they come, we fall really hard on the ground and getting back up seems very difficult. When all these happen, we need to look beyond our challenges and difficulties, we need to look up, and find ways of getting ourselves back on our feet, we must not stay down for too long.

Looking beyond our fall gives us the courage to get up out of it, and forge ahead for better days, the future holds in it bigger and better possibilities than whatever we have at hand, and we must be determined enough to get into that future of greater possibilities.

We must always remember that every man falls, but only those that get up, dust up themselves, and pick something from the ground (learn lessons from their fall) always get ahead in life and make something out of it.

Falling is not the end of life, but falling and staying on the ground.

Day 20 of 366

"Life is an adventure; we get out of it what we put into it."

Richard Daly.

You must have heard the phrase, "to every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction", these statement is true for every aspect of mans life.

In life, you don't get what you don't give, what you give is what you get (WYGiWYG). You may not exactly get in return what you give, but you will get in the same measure of what you give.

In carrying out an action, you will get out of it an equivalent of the effort you put into it. Life has a reward and punishment system for every action performed by man, either good or evil. So, be careful of whatever you do, for nothing goes without coming back, as it is popularly said, " what goes around, comes around".

If you sow orange you reap orange, plant lemon you reap lemon, if you give a smile, you get back in return what you have given. Whatever you want to reap is what you should sow.

Do evil to others, reap evil, do good and reap good.

366 days of wisdom (January 19, 2020)

Day 19 of 366

"We are rich only through what we give, and poor only  through what we refuse."

Ralph Waldo Emerson.

Poverty and riches are parallel phenomena, true riches is not in the abundance of possession, but in the willingness and ability to give of the little in your possession. Poverty on the other hand is not the lack of materials or wealth, but the lack of ability and desire to give of the little one has.

Riches and poverty are not necessarily of money, but also of friends, family, good health, and peace of mind. You may be rich in money, and poor of family friends and peace of mind, this will not give you true satisfaction, but even when there is lack of financial riches, but you have friends and family around you, you sometimes will forget that you lack money.

A man can not give what he does not have, so, if a man finds it difficult to give something, then he lacks that thing, but when someone readily gives of the little he has, then he has abundance, even when it seems not to be available at the moment.

The mind of a  giver is a rich mind, even if he is financially poor, while that of a miser is poor even with a fat account and cash balance.

Give and it shall be given unto you.

366 days of wisdom (January 18, 2020)

Day 18 of 366

"Believe you can and you're halfway there."

Theodore Roosevelt.

Starting something is always the hardest part to completing that thing, but to start there must be a very crucial ingredient that will spur you into action, that ingredient is, BELIEVE.

Believing you can achieve a thing, is as important as achieving that thing. Once you are spurred into action, the believe in your ability to achieve will be the greatest incentive that will keep you going. People sometimes will doubt you and your dreams, but their opinion counts for nothing, as long as you have full faith and confidence yourself.

Most people don't get to achieve anything in life because thy don't attempt to start anything, and the reason they don't attempt to start anything is because of their fear of failure, and fear creeps in only when there is lack of believe (confidence) in your ability.

If progress is to be made, and success is to be achieved, one must dear to be brave, and move confidently in the direction of ones dreams and aspirations.

Believe you can, and you will.

366 days of wisdom (January 17, 2020)

Day 17 of 366

"Take a new look at your present 'impossible.' Consider positive ways to handle it."

Norman Vincent Peale.

There is a saying that, the word "impossible" in itself says "I'm possible". Considering the strides that has been made in various fields of human endeavours, I think it is safe to believe that there is no impossibility. Impossibility exists only where man has not thought to make possibility happen.

At a time, it was impossible for man to fly in the sky, now man goes into the moon; at a time talking to a man few kilometers away was an impossibility, but now thousands of kilometers away men talks and even see each other.

If there is an impossible situation around you, you need to look at that situation from another perspective, you need to approach the situation with a positive mindset, and consider positive ways of dealing with such situations. Our minds are controlled by the idea with which we feed them, the mind does not recognize positivity nor negativity, it only recognizes an action or thought, it is our responsibility to flesh whatever the mind generates with either positivity or negativity.

There is a popular saying from the bible which says, "as a man thinks, so his he", it is therefore a matter of choice to think positive or negative, impossible or possible.

If a situation therefore looks humanly impossible, it is then necessary to turn to the one who makes all impossibilities possible, the Lord Almighty, the creator of the universe and all impossibilities will become possible.

Day 16 of 366

"A humble person is more concerned about what is right than about being right"

Stephen Covey.

For one to achieve success in life one must be concerned about doing the right thing and not just being right, and humility is the attribute needed to have such concerns.

In the words of  Rick Pitino who said, "Humility is the true key to success. Successful people lose their way at times. They often embrace and overindulge from the fruits of success. Humility halts this arrogance and self-indulging trap. Humble people share the credit and wealth, remaining focused and hungry to continue the journey of success."

Humble people know their self-worth. As a result, they don’t feel the need to cast themselves before others just to show them how much they know. Instead, humble people realize that nobody cares how much they know until those people know how much they’re cared for. (Source: forbes.com)

The scriptures also said in  Proverbs 18:12 (NET) "Before destruction the heart of a person is proud, but humility comes before honor.

Be humble, be successful.

366 days of wisdom (January 15, 2020)

Day 15 of 366

"Once the choice is made, do not look back, do not second-guess your decisions."

Muhammad Ali.

Life is a battlefield of decisions. Decision making, is a very critical part of any human life, and there are rewards or regrets for decisions made or unmade. When making decisions in life one must consider carefully, the possible outcomes of his/her decisions, as it could make or mar ones future.

Once a decisions is made out of careful thoughts and prospective positive outcome, one should not hesitate, or look back on execution. Doubting your decisions would weaken you and you may eventually find a way of not executing your intended plans, which will ultimately bring stagnancy.

Making decisions, and following through on them will increase ones confidence, and an eventual positive outcome will further boost your ability to make more critical decisions in shorter time difference .

So, make the decisions, trust your judgement, and follow through on it, and you are sure to progress.

Day 14 of 366

"There are no traffic jams along the extra mile."

Roger Staubach.

The race for success and survival is always through a difficult, crowded and overwhelming path, and most don't always get out of it.

The secret to getting the best out of ones labour is to go the extra mile. Only very few people go the extra mile in life, and that distinguishes them from the crowd.

On the extra mile, there are extra rewards; on the extra mile, you stand out of the crowd; on the extra mile, you get extra satisfaction.

Sometimes, going the extra mile is not easy, it may be extra difficult, it may require extra resources, but at the end it would be worth it.

So go the extra mile, and get the extra everyone else wouldn't get.

Day 13 of 366

” Problems teach us life lessons that smooth sailing days don't.”

Calvin K. Lee.

You might have heard the saying, “Smooth seas do not make skillful sailors”, same applies to life. When we go through seemingly difficult situations, we often learn more significant lessons, than when things go smoothly for us. It is in our most turbulent times we learn the most profound lessons that we may not learn from any other person in life.

Though, life is like an adventure without maps, sometimes, life teach us lessons that will serve as guide to us on our journeys. Our use and maximization of those lessons are then left to us.

Therefore, when problems and challenges visit us, we should not see them as a storm that has come to disrupt our paths, but as one that came to clean it, and make our paths clearer to thread. We should be focused on learning and getting the best out of those problems, rather than succumbing to it and letting it trample on us. We are humans and we control our world.

Day 12 of 366

”Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm.”

Abraham Lincoln.

Decision-making is a very critical part of our lives as human beings. Every passing day will require that we make some decisions which will determine the result of some other events in our lives.

In making these decisions, we must give in-depth thoughts to what the outcome might be and its effect on us and people around us.

Once we can ascertain that the outcome of our decisions will have a positive impact on us and the people around us, we should not hesitate to make and take such decisions, and also stand firm by it.

It is an honourable thing to make a decision, stand by it and follow through on it till we see the result and outcome of our decisions.

Although, when the outcome of some decisions are not favourable, we tend to feel dejected and depressed, but we must understand that we have more countless opportunities to take another decision that will turn the tides, and give us the positive result we need. We should therefore, not be hesitant in making decisions, nevertheless, our decisions must be carefully thought out before they are taken.

Day 11 of 366

"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving."

Albert Einstein.

When riding on a bicycle, the only technique to keeping your balance is to keep moving, and to keep moving you must continue to pedal on, which requires effort.

In life, if you don't want to fall off the track, you have to continue to work in the direction of your dreams and consistently put effort into ensuring that you are at per with trend of things as it relates to your dreams and aspirations.

An attempt to relax on your dreams will either mean you will fall off the rail or, you will be totally relaxed, and to take off again, you will require extra push and effort to keep moving, meanwhile you might have been left far behind, opportunities might have past you, and catching up with all these will be another daunting task.

So, to maintain your balance in the pursuit of your dreams, and to arrive at your destination in due time, you have to keep  moving, then victory is certain.

Day 10 of 366

“True courage is taking another small step each day toward achieving your vision”

Jonathan Lockwood Huie.

The journey to success is not an easy one, and the destination is not arrived at if, conscious, and deliberate attempts are not made towards achieving one's desired goal.

Courage is a necessary attribute anyone who desires to succeed must have, because it will be the fuel moving you forward towards success. Little steps must be taken each day towards achieving your dreams and visions or else it will only remain a mirage.

You must be ready to look your fears in the face, and do that which you want to do no matter what.

Succumbing to fear is an automatic strangulation of your dreams and visions.

So, take that step, make that decision, start that process, and don't look back on it, for soon you will see your dreams and visions manifest.

May the new year bring to is joy from the source, Amen.

Day 9 of 366

"The world hates change, yet it is the only thing that has brought progress."

Charles Kettering.

Change is generally one of the most resisted phenomenon anywhere around the world. Most humans are more comfortable with the status quo, and would cringe at any appearance of a possible change, yet the only reason why there has been great advancement in technology and human functionality at this age of our existence, is how well we have been able to embrace change.

Gone are the days of analog computers, now there are handy computers with touchscreens and sophisticated functionalities, cellular phones were once the in thing, now 5G enabled smart phones are the subject of talks.

Technological advancements has brought ease to human activities, because some people were determined to bring change to the system. Until you are ready and willing to sacrifice, and give up some growth and progress inhibitors in your life for a change, you will always be at the same spot and get same results as in the past.

Embrace change for a chance towards advancement, it is the only guarantee for a better tomorrow.

May the new year bring to is joy from the source, Amen.

Day 8 of 366

"Life is change, growth is optional, choose wisely."

Karen Kaiser Clark.

Life is like a fast moving train, for you to get onboard, you have to run and be determined to catch it. Everything in life is moving at a very fast pace that it requires you to keep running for you to remain on a spot, otherwise you will be left far behind in no time at all.

Change is the most constant phenomenon in this current generation. We see rapid differences in almost everything around us within a short period.

For one to keep up with the growth, and rapid momentum of changes, there must be a determined series of efforts to ensure you are not left behind in the trend of events as they move at lightening speed.

Just like a plant does not grow unless it is being nurtured to maturity, so, is the human mind. Until a deliberate, determined effort is being made to ensure consistent growth, nothing changes, and nothing grows.

The choice you make today will determine where you get to tomorrow. Starting from now, you must choose to grow and move forward for you not to be left behind.

May the new year bring to is joy from the source, Amen.

Day 7 of 366

"Opportunities are possibilities waiting for human interventions to become realities."

Victor Haruna-Francis.

Optimizing opportunities, is a skill that most people find difficult to put to use. As difficult as it is, it can be mastered by merely taking advantage of very little opportunities that come our way, and make determined efforts to improve and master the act of *opportunity optimization*

When opportunities come, it always requires that the one who comes across such opportunities, make the click, intervene, and activate it to their own advantage. Without these interventions these opportunities are useless and wasted.

Most humans have reached unexpected heights just by keying into every kind of opportunity that comes their way.

Opportunities exist aplenty all over the universe waiting for human intervention to become marvelous realities, they are like spirits waiting for someone to give them a body, they actually need human help and until they are being acted upon, nothing changes and nothing happens. So, help that opportunity come to life and become a reality.

 Be an opportunity optimizer.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.

WORD FOR THE WEEK

NEW

The most common words during the first few weeks of the New Year are: Happy, New, and Year, of these three, one quickly fades as the year goes by, and that word is, NEW.

The word new, has variety of meanings when looked up in a dictionary, but one which best describes this concern is, recently arrived. The recently arrived year will soon become old, but before it does we must take advantage of the privilege of freshness the New Year affords us. If the old ways are not working we should try, restarting, rewriting, rerouting, refocusing, and re-strategizing to re-fire for better results. But, if we refuse to take advantage of this newness, we will get that which we have always gotten.

Therefore, before the New Year begins to grow old, and we lose the enthusiasm that comes with newness, we need to set the balls rolling, by putting plans into action and digging up from within, that which is required, for us to keep running. Nothing new comes out of old ways and actions.

Carl Bard, once said, “although no one can go back and make a brand-new start, anyone can start from today and make a brand-new ending”. So, optimize fully, the newness of the year and make a difference for a brand-new ending.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.

Happy New Year.

Day 6 of 366

”I like the dreams of the future, better than the history of the past”

Thomas Jefferson.

History consists of some of the most interesting stories ever told. Billions of pages have been written on events, researches, studies, people, and their acts in days and  years gone by, but all cannot be compared to what is yet to unfold in the future.

The future is an endless sea of possibilities. There exists no limit to what could happen in the future. This truth affords us the privilege to tap into that endless possibilities of creativity and productivity, that the future provides.

Looking forward into the future, we should dream big dreams, and make daily efforts towards achieving those dreams, and your future achievements would definitely supersede the results of your past.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.

"Look inside for the insight you need"

Anani Sunday.

The human brain is so powerful, it processes billions of information in seconds and is capable of doing far more than it actually does in a lot of people.

As social beings, we don't need to look beyond ourselves for insight on what to do to take our lives in a whole new direction, we only need to dig deep within and we will get the solution to whatsoever problem we attempt to solve.

Everything that exists on the surface of the earth, has its source and origin from within the earth, even humans. In the light of this, everything that can make our lives what it can or should be, is resident within us, we only need to explore and we will discover.

Unless you make deliberate attempt to explore, you will not discover, and once you discover, you must also go through the process of refining that which has been extracted from within, so it can be turned into a valuable, workable and executable plan, which will eventually bring the desired success.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.

Day 4 of 366

"The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you are not going to stay where you are"

J. P. Morgan.

Your current location on the map of destiny, is as a result of the decisions you made or didn't make. If you haven't moved from where you used to be to where you want to be, it is because you haven't decided to leave where you are.

Life is a journey of decisions, and accumulated decisions or indecisions determine your eventual destination.

Launching into action is always a difficult decision to make, but once taken, it is easier to maintain and keep running. There must be a deep resolve to move forward and upward and a willing heart to follow through on such decisions.

The quality and consistency of your decision will also determine our fast you get to your desired destination.

Remember, "The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide you are not going to stay where you are". So, take the first step, keep the momentum and success is guaranteed.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.

Day 3 of 366

“It’s never too late to be what you might have been”

George Elliot.

“It is never too late, until it is too late, and it is never too late until life is no more”, whatever you have dreamt of could still be a reality however long it has been conceived and still not achieved.

Colonel Sanders (Harland Sanders), founded Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) in 1930, at age 40, KFC never became successful until 1964, when he was 73, that was three decades and some extras of consistency without success, but not quitting. If he had quit what would have been the story?

Your firm resolve to achieve that which your heart craves for, is the force you need to drive you in the direction of achieving your dreams and visions.

Quitting is not the stuff of winners, only losers quit. Winners don't stop until they have gotten to the finish line. So, if you haven't arrived at your finish line, why quit?. Go the extra mile, face your fears heads on and you will discover it was only a toothless dog.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.

Day 2 of 366

“You are never too old to set another goal or dream a new dream”

C. S. Lewis.

“Age is just but numbers”, they say, it is not a determinant of how much one can or can’t achieve in life and endeavors. Stories abound of achievers who made it very early in life and some others, who made it later on in their lives.

John B. Goodenough was the oldest man to win a Nobel Prize at the age of 97, and Malala Yousafzai was 17, when he achieved same feat; John F. Kennedy at 43 was the youngest elected President of the United States of America, while Donald J. Trump became the oldest elected President of the United States at 70; after a century of years, in 2018, China’s Chang Yun Chung became the oldest billionaire in the world, a year latter 21 years old Kylie Jenner became the youngest self-made billionaire in the world.

Therefore, there exists no limit to whatever achievement one desires at any age in life, success has no regard for age, but the will and determination to pursue and achieve it.

So, set those goals, dream the dreams, and beyond setting and dreaming, PURSUE.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.

Day 1 of 366

“Never underestimate the power you have to take your life in a whole new dimension”

Germany Kent.

It is usually said, that, “The best time to start was yesterday, the second best time is now”. New Year's day affords us the privilege of retrospective examination of our lives, to see where we are and what we have done to arrive at our current state.

There resides in every man, great power to rudder their lives in directions that will lead to fulfillment and achievement of their desired goals and potentials and until that power is put to use, nothing changes. This power need not be despised as it is the key to greatness and success. Disregarding or underestimating the potential within you or in anyone else is at the detriment of whoever does so.

Though, there is nothing unique about New Year's day, as it is just like any other day of the year, it could well mark the beginning of a fresh start for anyone who is bent on experiencing newness.

Therefore, explore your potentials and see what changes you are able to cause in your life and community.

May the new year bring to us joy from its source, Amen.
