EMBRACING CHANGE

EMBRACE CHANGE OR GET BURIED IN IT.

Change is inevitable. It happens all around us and it happens all the time, whether we like it or not. Some people fear change and try to resist it, while others embrace it and see it as an opportunity for growth and improvement. Many of us resist change. We get comfortable in our routines, in the way things are, and we don't want to rock the boat.

Advances in technology, science, and every other aspects of human life are becoming more and more commonplace, and lagging behind can be detrimental. The only way to stay ahead of the curve is to continuously learn and grow, making personal development a daily routine.

Those who embrace change are more likely to be successful in life because they are able to adapt to the ever-changing world around them. They are not afraid of new challenges and they see change as an opportunity to learn and grow.

On the other hand, those who resist change are more likely to get left behind. They are comfortable with the status quo and they are not open to new ideas or ways of doing things. Change can be scary, but it is important to remember that it is also necessary for growth.

When we embrace change, we give ourselves a major advantage. We upgrade ourselves, we give ourselves the opportunity to become better persons than we previously were, and we open up a world of possibilities. So, why resist change? Embrace it and see what amazing things can happen.

The next time you are faced with change, don't resist, fight, or repel it. Embrace it and see it as an opportunity to learn, grow and open up new grounds for yourself.

WORLD MOVERS

FROM STONE AGE TO JET AGE: THE WORLD MOVERS.

The world as you see and know today did not self create, self develop, it did not just metamorphose into what it is today. Nothing changes unless you change it, in fact, unless you make things get better it will only go worse. As much as we could talk about the degradation of the earth as a result of man's activities, and the advancement in all spheres of man's existence, man can better what the world is today if he decides to make it so.

There was a time in this world when people live and die only a few radius away from their place of birth; when man's movement was limited only to the natural means or use of animals. Today, people move between continents within few hours. Gone are the days when people could not communicate except they met physically, today thousands of miles apart, people could see themselves and communicate clearly as though they were together.

There has been drastic, intense, and dramatic evolution in the way man carries out his daily activities, and has never be more effective, efficient, and timely. The world did not make itself so, man did. Man has created everything that has made living in the world easier, better, and faster.

Who are those responsible for these drastic change? What changed? How were they able to achieve all these?

I call these people the "WORLD MOVERS", they moved the world bit by bit, by their own work from what it used to be, to what it now is. From the stone age, to the jet age; from the slow age, to the speed age. History has the names of many of them written all over the place. Men like Thomas Edison, Nicola Tesla, Alexander Graham Bell, George Stephenson, Orville and Wilbur Wright, Charles Babbage, and most recently the Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Jack Ma, Jeff Bezos, and countless others.

There are others who neither created nor invented anything, but changed the course of history where they found themselves, Martin Luther King Jr., Lee KuanYew, Nelson Mandela, Mahatma Gandhi, Rosa Parks, Mother Theresa, and many others also did their bits in making life easier for others, you can too.

All these guys realized their ability to be co-creators with the Creator of the universe, they were awakened to the power within them, that if they could conceive, imagine a thing in their mind it can be created irrespective of what people think or say about it. Their creations and inventions have not only been enjoyed by them and their families, relative, friends, and countrymen, but by everyone, everywhere all over the world.

We can change the course of our lives and the world at large if only we can conceive within us, what we want to achieve. We have within us unimaginable power of creation, and that power can come to life only when we give it life.

Ronaldo: who is your Marcelo?

Friendships are of different types, triggered by different things, for different purposes, and sustained by different reasons. One would always have different types of friend, but to get the best of these friendships, you must know what they are about and what they are for.

Marcelo Vieira da Silva Júnior while talking about his friendship with Cristiano Ronaldo said, they had a fight the first time they met. This was during a friendly match for their respective countries in 2008. In 2009, Ronaldo moved to Real Madrid where Marcelo has been playing for six years, at this moment they became instant friends.

At Real Madrid, Ronaldo enjoyed the most successful stint in his footballing career so far, and Real Madrid also had one of their best period of success especially in Europe, and Marcelo's impact in that cannot be overemphasized. Marcelo is only fourth alongside Angel Di Maria on the list of players who created the most assist for Ronaldo despite being a defender, just behind Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, and Mesut Ozil.

Whenever Ronaldo is close to scoring a goal, Marcelo is always pictured to almost start the celebration even before the goal is scored. He believed in his friend, had so much trust in him, fought for him, protected him, and gave him a lot of opportunities to score and prove his worth. Now at different clubs, Marcelo still performs the celebration made popular by Cristiano, the "SIUUU" celebration.

Who is your Marcelo? Do you even have a Marcelo in your life? Are there friends who can defend your cause even in your absence? Do you have those friends who will be there for you no matter what? If you do not have a Marcelo for yourself, be the Marcelo to another Ronaldo, and success will be a mutual achievement for both parties.

20 PLENTY 3

TWENTY PLENTY THREE

It's been seven days since you last read from me, I apologize for the long break but it was really necessary. It is unlike me but this is how we row for the year 2023. We will be up with some sort of dynamism and flavor.  Today being the last day of the first week in the new year, so I thought I should say hello before the week runs out.

A lot has happened already in the new year, the hustle and bustle has resumed, some have already achieved huge success, and some have started falling and failing woefully, that is how long we have gone into the year. For many, asides calenders and dates, nothing has really changed, but one thing is true: the new year is an opportunity to retrospect, reflect, reorganize, re-strategize, and restart.

How are you coping with your new year resolutions, your new vision, your new course, and everything new you said you would do in the new year? People quit new endeavors in less than seven days, so it won't be out of place to say some have dropped out of their new-being.

No endeavour is easy to embark upon, and see through, especially when it does not offer instant gratification or pleasure. A lot of discipline, dedication, diligence, and consistency is required to get ahead and eventually succeed at whatever one has commenced or started.

Whatever it is that we have set our minds to achieve this year, we cannot give up, quit, or back down from it, we can definitely achieve everything but we must be ready to take everything and anything that will be thrown at us on that journey.

To conclude, we must not succumb to any kind of pressure to conform to the opinion, desires, and wants of people for us. We must not enter into unnecessary competition with anyone no matter who they are. Everyone has their own path, everyone has their own journey, and everyone must run their race according to their own time and season. If you don't stop nor relent, you will reach your goal and get to your destination just in time.
